“Integrating Airport Operations” puts the passenger in the heart of Single European Sky and will bring over 450 million passengers and the ATM network the benefits of SESAR by increased performance and predictability through synchronized, harmonized and simultaneous implementation of initial Airport Operations Plans in 12 major European airports.

The main objective is to improve performance and predictability for passengers, local operations and for Network operations by the implementation of initial Airport Operations Plans (iAOPs). This will enable airports to act more proactively for the benefit of the passenger and move towards more integrated operations locally through collaborative set up of an initial Airport Operations Plan. The coordination of the operations of all involved stakeholders will increase efficiency for passengers, local operations and Network operations, guarantee safe flights and operations, ensure best possible use of existing capacity and help to reduce the impact of airport operations.

This project brought together 12 major European airports and 2 Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs)in one single team, ensuring a harmonized and synchronized approach to bring the benefits to passengers, local operational stakeholders and to the ATM Network.
